This delightful painting is by listed artist Alix Jennings, who was a well-respected artist working between the 1920s and 1950s. She is well-known for flower painting, but also portraits and there are several of her works in the National Collection.
She lived in Farnborough and had her own studio there - The Raeburn Studio - for many years.
She exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1927. Signed bottom left. The original frame is as stunning as the painting.
